Archiving Policy

JAGUR: Jurnal Agroteknologi is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. To safeguard the scholarly record and guarantee continued access in the event that the journal or publisher ceases operation, JAGUR applies multiple trusted digital archiving and preservation systems.

The journal utilizes the following archiving services:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to provide free, decentralized, and community-based digital preservation for open-access journals using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) to ensure content preservation through distributed copies maintained across participating libraries.

  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) to provide a secure, dark archive that enables long-term preservation and controlled access to content in the event of catastrophic loss or discontinuation.

  • Portico to support sustainable digital preservation and ensure reliable long-term access to scholarly content through a trusted third-party service.

All published articles, including full-text files, supplementary materials, and associated metadata, are deposited and preserved within these archiving systems. These preservation mechanisms ensure that the journal’s content remains accessible, citable, and intact over time.

Through the use of multiple, independent archiving solutions, JAGUR: Jurnal Agroteknologi demonstrates its commitment to transparency, best publishing practices, and compliance with international standards for digital preservation as recommended by DOAJ, COPE, and other scholarly publishing organizations.
