Plagiarism Policy

JAGUR: Jurnal Agroteknologi is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism, including direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, and improper citation or paraphrasing of previously published work.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are screened for originality using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. This screening is conducted as part of the initial editorial evaluation before the peer review process.

The journal applies a maximum similarity index threshold of 15%. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% will be rejected without proceeding to peer review. This threshold excludes properly cited references, quotations, and standard methodological descriptions; however, excessive similarity in any section of the manuscript may still be considered unethical, even if the overall similarity score is within the acceptable limit.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism. Any indication of plagiarism discovered at any stage of the submission, review, or publication process will result in appropriate action in accordance with COPE guidelines. Such actions may include manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, notification of authors’ institutions, and restrictions on future submissions.

By submitting a manuscript to JAGUR: Jurnal Agroteknologi, authors confirm that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere, in whole or in part, without proper acknowledgment.

This plagiarism policy is implemented to protect the integrity of the scholarly record and to ensure the publication of high-quality, ethical research in agrotechnology and agricultural sciences.
